Production Services - Museums & Permanent Exhibitions
The production of audio-visual programming and the supply & installation of the accompanying hardware for presentation in museums and permanent exhibitions, is an area of particular expertise for Amity. Some of the many innovative designs we have worked with include creating a talking scrap heap robot whose head is made from an old television; to re-enacting 13th Century historical characters in full period costume. Installations vary, for example, programmes may be activated by a push button; played on a continuous loop; or triggered by a laser beam every time a visitor enters an exhibit, for example. And improving access for the disabled led to the recent production of an audio tour of Jane Austen`s House available on CD for blind visitors.
